I like to talk about when AR and IP based tech moves away from devices and this is a rather nice example of what would happen if you could take the functionality and data streams of a phone & allow you to view data without media devices - in this instance a GPS device, a data connection, a gyro so that when you move your head the display changes. Look left, weather, look right directions...

demo of how AR could enhance books. Slightly unfortunate demonstration of the problem of trying to integrate traditional book reading and laptop cameras (0.51) - but we look forward to pica cameras and projectors. Also the fact that this should really be about the interaction between tablets and books and book apps. Not DVDs and laptops.

and finally AR tech that doesn't use AR markers. Instead using real-time video recognition software. that would be pretty game-changing - although having spent plenty of time trying to get AR tools to ONLY recognise the markers I think it's still relatively limited...
